LOCATION
Overlooking a beautiful coastline, the breathtaking views bring our country to life. Villa Caletas is located on a rain forest hilltop in the Central Pacific coast of Costa Rica. From each side of the mountain, rain forests spread to sandy, quiet beaches below. At the bottom of the mountain, Villa Caletas offers its own very private beach.
Mainly renowned for the flocks of colorful Scarlet Macaws, the region is preferred among nature lovers. The area hosts several biological reserves and wildlife refuges. Make a date with Mother Nature and come to a paradise of enchantment, Close to Heaven, a place of wild and unexplored treasures of all the best nature has to offer. For those interested in shopping and nightlife, the thriving tourist town of Jacó and Herradura lay a short drive to the south.
Take the Pan-American Highway North, to the intersection of Atenas, (take route marked # 34). You will drive through Atenas, then you will start to drive up through the mountain named Monte del Aguacate. After 40 minutes you will get down to the town of San Mateo, where you will see an intersection, turn left following the signs to Orotina. Follow the signs to Jacó or Punta Leona (35 km). From Punta Leona`s main entrance, continue on the same highway for 3 km. You will reach the Villa Caletas Hotel sign on the right hand side of the road. You will find the hotel 2km from the main road.
